Dance lists for the Start and Taskbar menu were finally repaired – research snipers
Microsoft has arranged an error that has damaged dance lists in Windows 10 since February 2025. With an update, users can no longer access files recently used through tiles on the start menu or in the task bar.
Windows 10: jump lists on the starting menu again functional
Since the end of February 2025, many Windows 10 users have no longer been able to access their recently used files through the Start or Taskbar menu, at least if they know and use these functions and noticed the bow. Specifically, the error was about the so-called jump lists-a practical feature that shows the latest open files when right click on the app tiles on the Start menu or on the task bar icons.
The problem began with the optional KB5052077 update of February 25, 2025 and was strengthened with subsequent updates in March and April. Only Windows 10 Home and Pro editions in version 22H2 were affected, while Windows 11 was spared this problem.
Cause: New Account Management in Starting Menu
Microsoft loud support (through the latest Windows) was caused by integrating a new Microsoft account management into the Start menu. This function, which originally comes from Windows 11, should enable users to access account management and was gradually presented through a “so -called CFR (CFR). New account management can be found in the left bar of the Start menu and enables a faster difference between different Microsoft accounts. However, this integration inadvertently led to the functioning of the jump list being damaged or damaged.
Automatic error correction
Microsoft recognized the problem early and supported a solution through a piece of service on April 25, 2025. The group stopped distributing incorrect update and withdrew changes to the starting menu. Removal is automatically done in the background without having to become active on their own.
If you still have problems with the jump lists, Microsoft support recommends ensuring that the appliance is connected to the Internet in order to get the automatic solution. After a resumption, the problem should be fixed. Otherwise, users can also delete the “Jumplistcache.dat” file in the Directorate “%Appdata%MicrosoftWindowsrecenttenzomatic Destinations” to manually reset the jump lists.
