Microsoft crack in wholesale emails with new new Outlook rules

I have some bad news for you, email administrators – your Monday can get LOT worse. You see, starting today, Microsoft has officially begun to reject high volume emails that do not meet its new rules of certification.

Here’s the deal. If you send more than 5,000 messages a day at Outlook.com addresses (including hotmail.com and live.com) and are not properly located with SPF, Dimi and DMARC, your e -mail May never arrive. Yikes.

As you can see, Microsoft is strictly implementing these rules of emails, without a way out. So far, controversial messages may have ended up in Junk or Spam folders. Now, they will instead dance completely with an error message.

This change is clearly intended to reduce spam, fraud and phishing. While this is evaluated, unfortunately it will also affect traders, newsletters and businesses that rely on mass email. Even if your email is completely legal, disregarding these controls means that you can be silent.

Fortunately, the rules are pretty direct. Your SPF record should clearly determine which IPS can send on behalf of your domain. Dimi must sign the message with a valid key. And dmarc should be published, stretching or with SPF or Dim. Preferably both. Without all three in place, Microsoft will be silent.

And don’t assume you are safe just because you use a third -party service. Even if your DNS records are not fair, you will still be on the fragmentation block. Even things such as broken ties of jabonation, old posting lists or a lot of DNS research on your SPF record can endanger you. And no, people, being on a list of safe sender will not protect you.
