Microsoft says that Windows 11 24h2 is ready for everyone … except those who are not

Windows 24h2 participation has been a slow, bumpy road. We are not far from entering 25H2 and Microsoft has just announced that the Windows 11 2024 update is now “widely available”.

Moving to widespread availability means that anyone with a compatible system will now be able to download the update, but many people are likely to discover that they are automatically actualized without having to do anything. Despite the final phase of participation and availability, Microsoft says there is still compliance holding that will block the entry into the update for some users.

It is now a full year since the first release of the release was released for the underwear, so it seems somewhat extraordinary that still has issues standing on the Windows 11 24h2 release path. But there are a number of known issues that serve as obstacles, and only a small part are resolved. Microsoft gives details here.

What the company wants to focus, however, is the fact that Windows 11 24h2 is now widely available. In an update on the Windows Issuing Health Website, Microsoft says:

Windows 11, version 24h2Also known as the Windows 11 2024 update is widely available. We have reached the last phase of gradual participation for version 24h2 through Windows update IN SETTINGS.

If you have an acceptable Windows 10 or Windows 11 device, you can ask the update by choosingSettings> Windows update and by choosingCheck for updates. If your device is ready for updating, you will see the option toDownload and install Windows 11, version 24h2. Note that some devices may not temporarily indicate updating in version 24h2 if we detect an incompatibility.

You can sit back and wait for automatic installation of Windows 11 24h2, or you can open Windows Update in the settings and manually check for available updates.
