Sonos and Ikea are finishing their partnership for wireless speakers, according to a new report by The Verge. The current inventory of the Symfonisis formation is “being globally phase in all IKEA countries and no future equipment is planned.” The report notes, however, that existing products will continue to receive software updates. The news comes shortly before the one -year anniversary of the now -famous Sono -famous soft software redesign.

“Over the past eight years, we have been pleased to work closely with IKEA and are proud of what we have achieved,” spokesman Taylor Higgins told The Verge in a statement. “Although our work together is mainly destroyed and we will not release new products as partners, we will continue to support any existing Symfonisk product so that customers can continue to enjoy great sounds in their homes for many years.”

Both companies announced the Symfonisis Line of IKEA’s Lifetime-oriented wire-oriented lifespan in 2019, starting with the loudspeaker of the Symfonisk bookshelf and the speaker of the symfonisk table lamp. The book rack speaker has been evident since its inception as the most affordable wireless speaker you can buy. The collection was expanded to include the speaker of the picture frame, which doubled as the art of the wall, as well as a version of the speaker of the table lamp that came on foot. All symfonisis speakers can be added to existing systems of Sono people or used to create new sonos systems, controlled by Sono’s software.

For its part, IKEA sent me this statement via email: “Over the past eight years, we have been pleased to work closely with Sonos and are proud of what we have achieved. While we will not release any new products as partners, we will continue to support any existing Symphonisk product so that customers continue to enjoy excellent sounds at home sale at home sale.

I was not wild about the speaker of the picture frame, which had a very non-stony-like-like-like-like-like-like audio quality, but the rest of the Symfonisk formation was generally impressive for its smart melting of speakers and furniture, allowing IKEA-driven models to mix. If you have been thinking of buying a Symfonisk speaker, it now looks like a good time to do so before all inventory disappears.

Ikea kept the simple things with Symfonisk. He never released a smart model of loudspeakers and left features like space audio and auxiliary inputs. However, he found a way to integrate the speakers Symfonisis into its smart tradfri -based platform, and sold an accompanying remote control that allows you to control volume and reproduction without the need for your phone or speakers board controls.

I have reached Sonos and IKEA to find out whether compatible Symphonisk accessories such as wall mounts, art panels and table lamp shades will remain available and if so, as long as.

It has been a challenging period for Sonos. In addition to the continuous work to finally address all the remaining problems of the application, the company is reported to have saved plans for a future streaming device, encrypted Pinewood.
