Over the years, Google has chosen features that raise his status in a replacement of Apple messages. The latest addition, allowing you to receive completely unworthy messages, is now reaching a width of Android users, preserving them the pain of incorrectly sent texts.

After the first view of the “Delete for all” feature in the app for its messages, Google is leaving people beyond the beta test tribe. As expected, functionality allows the message senders to delete it for all parties at a colleague-colleague or a group conversation and replaces the older functionality, where deleted messages would still appear for others.

Functioning for all functionality was noted by a Redditor with a username (through 9TO5google), but they did not specify which version of Google messages you need to make it work. We cannot activate it at our end, despite updating the application in the latest version, suggesting that this could be a server switch.

In particular, these changes will only apply to messages and conversations on RCS-a relatively modern protocol of online-based messages that Google hopes, but there are problems to make Apple fuss, to replace traditional SMS. This means that everyone in the conversation must have activated RCS, which is nevertheless needed if you want to enjoy features like messaging reactions or printing indicators, to enjoy functionality. You also need to update Google messages in the latest version, the next deleted messages can still appear for some people.

In addition to talking to others using Google messages, the cross-platform nature of RCS means that it, in theory, also has to work smoothly with Apple messages. That’s because Apple recently approved RCS along with its IMESSAGE protocol for the messaging app. However, one need is that other people must have updated their iPhone or iPad in iOS 18. It is still not mindless.

With Google messages now approved as the De-Facto Message App for Android, we can expect Google to postpone for aggressive standardization.
