The Way Through the Forest: On Mushrooms and Mourning by Long Litt Woon

We have many mushroom lovers in our book club, so this book about the women’s experience to deal with the grief by turning to the forage of mushrooms was a huge hit. When Long Lit Won’s husband died, she did not know how she would live without him. But somehow she falls into mushrooms, finding a whole new way to enjoy her home by exploring his forests. He has long started studying for the exam that will solidify her as a formal fodder with mushrooms. This is such a beautiful book about mourning and healing, told by writing nature.
