Global Legal Technology Alliance AI2L – Artificial Lawyer

Last week, numerous groups of regional legal technology, including ELTA, ILTN in India, Alita in Asia-Pacific, and AB2L in Brazil, formed a global alliance for innovation called He2l. Here are some key comments from those included in the project leadership.

AI2L’s goal is to unite numerous organizations that promote and support legal innovation to create a more united platform around the world. Board members include:

Comments for Start:

Marcelo Moura (AB2L & AI2L Ambassador to the United Kingdom): ‘Name AI2L carries layers of meaning. Does the Alliance stand for international and ‘2’ signals that L can stand for both Lawtech and legal innovation. The setting of a money creates a deliberate uncertainty in order for AI2L to also imply artificial intelligence for legal, which reflects our mission to promote it and technology in the legal industry.

‘Brazilian Legal Technology Association – AB2L sends delegations to the UK each year. In 2025, the delegation’s visit promoted the first international AB2L conference, the AB2L London Summit, which I honored to organize and wait in Mishcon de Reya. The Summit created the perfect moment for the founding members of AI2L to gather and notify the new alliance. Now is the time to increase this network and next year we expect the first AI2L summit. ‘

Daniel Marques (President AB2L): ‘The legal technique is in the lower course of the law. Over the past decade, each jurisdiction has developed a legal technology market adapted for its own needs. But business is global, and now is the time to collaborate and learn from one another beyond the borders. AB2L took the initiative to create AI2L, but we are building this network together and in public. Our goals are clear: to exchange knowledge, build bridges and create true business opportunities. We are creating a common calendar of events and a common platform to transmit news, views, projects and ideas. ‘

Brian tang (Alita’s co-chair): ‘Alita Mezi expects to cooperate with other leading actors in the international community Lawtech and the legal innovation for the exchange and enhancement of knowledge, experience and influence from the prospect of Asia-Pacific.’

Shreya Kezpei (The main ecosystem official and the founder, the Indian legal technique network): ‘In ILTN we have seen in the forefront how the community -led innovation can reshape legal systems for good. As a founding member of AI2L, we are proud to represent the rapid growth of India-house for 500+ innovators who move the change in access to justice, adopting it and providing legal service.

‘This alliance is more than symbolic. It is a powerful step towards global exchange of knowledge, regulatory dialogue and cooperative impact. We look forward to working with our partners all over the world to co-create a legal future that is inclusive, agile and first innovation. ‘

Marisa M. Borsboom (ELTA – APLT): ‘At a time of rapid interruption, AI2L stands as a global memory that true legal innovation goes beyond automation or efficiency. It is about building technology that empowers its users, strengthens justice and strengthens the ethical foundations of the legal ecosystem. We must create a market of legal technology led by clear standards, integrity and a shared commitment to the common good. This alliance exists not only to connect the continents, but to align the goal with progress, ensuring that legal transformation serves people, systems, and the very principles it aimed to protect. ‘
