This is a book about motherhood. We meet a single mother named Sandy, we just try best while raising our daughter Rosie. She has difficulty in this because Rosie’s father is not always there and not very reliable. Then Sandy discovers that Rosie has a half-wise, and Sandi is becoming friends with the other mom, Stephanie. I especially liked the relationship between Stephanie and Sandy. This proves that it is not necessary to be a war on the roses and to do the best for children, not for ourselves, is an important thing.

Writing and the plot were sufficiently engaged and I always appreciate books that have female friendships in the heart. The interactions and decisions between the female presenters were realistic. I liked how women became support for each other and I often think of Hillary Clinton and her initiative “This takes a village”. Well -developed characters made me read as there was a small story.

The idea of a book for different family dynamics was refreshing and the execution was in place. My only Negro was the step of the story was a little slow and it began to drag. Overall, the book was fun and I enjoyed the community aspect of it. And although it is not a perfect book, it was a heartbreaking look at what challenges mothers face (single or otherwise).
