An important role in the formation of our republic in Lafayette
By Nancy Spannaus
From June 29, 2025, the French General Gilbert has been a critical role in the French General Gilbert Lafayette, the winner of both the American Revolution and protect our republic. In the celebration of all 26 provinces of 1824-1825, Lafayette’s American friends (AFL) work to bring this history to the US community by sponsoring these historical lectures.
AFL has worked on August 15, 2024 and ended in September 7, AFL has worked with numerous other organizations such as AFL local committees and the girls of the American Revolution. Frederick, 10 local organizations in Maryland, when visiting the city of Lafayette, cooperated with a symposium and two-day celebrations in connection with the New Year’s period. In Loudoun County, the Virginia Holidays Loudoun250 Committee is funded by the local group preparing for the American birthday on July 4, 2026.
Currently, Loudoun is preparing to celebrate Lafayette in the district that occurs between 8 and 10sth In 1825. Three lectures were sponsored to create interest. First, on April 30, Dar’ın Cameron was organized by the Parish chapter and a conversation with Lafayette’s AFL Executive Director Chuck Schwam. The effect of Lafayette, which is the effect of Lafayette, which is the effect of Lafayette in 1824 elections in the Lovettsville Historical Society Lecture series. The Leesburg Loudoun Museum sponsored the third event on June 18; Both Schwam and national festivities, Dr. The Patti Maclay brought to talk about the vice-run, George Washington and Lafayette connections.
The museum in August events reflect the appearance of Lafayette, including the expert from the symposium, family-friendly activities and Lafayette, both General and Friendly President James Monroe. (See Loudoun for more information) Cameron Parish in August Cameron Parish Dar Chapter will previously sponsor a magnificent ball in the Belmont country club, which was one of the camps in Lafayette. Lee sponsored only such a tower during Lafayette’s visit to 1825.
I have two suggestions for you to give a flavor of the activities and effects of Lafayette.
First, now I recommend the AmericanSystemNows lecture on “Brighten in the” Review of Lafayette 1824-1825 rounds “in Tube channel. You can get by clicking here. (If you prefer text, the lecture is placed here.)
Second, on July 18, I explain some aspects of Schwam-Maclay presentations in the Loudoun Museum.
General George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette
Dr. Maclay, Washington and Lafayette gave the main presentation on his relations. Do not believe in the story of Alexander Hamilton, the generally adopted son; It was a lafayette and I will show you this in their lives, as well as with the sounds of Washington in their own lives.
Despite the opposition of the French king, 19-year-old Lafayette, 19-year-old Lafayette, 19-year-old Lafayette, in June 1777, helped to fulfill its role as the source of the world’s liberation. Due to the relations with the French monarchy, it was accepted as a voluntary general in the US Army.
However, Lafayette was more than that, Maclay. After the first meeting of the young, inexperienced French nobility, the young, inexperienced French nobility, General Washington, Washington immediately asked him to join his inner circle. The garden between two men seemed to look like it looks like the looks of even the appearance (both of the red hair).
Maclay continued to explain the numerous cases of Washington’s registration and unique closeness of Lafayette. Two of the Washington was seen resting in Washington’s clothes on the Washing Forge. Washington sent a note to a personal doctor who cared for Lafayette, “Like my son” after Lafayyette’s injury in Brandywine. And in Lafayette, in fact, Washington greeted with kisses – no other “military family member” dare a move.
Both Martha Washington and Cathing Greene (General Nathanel Greene’s wife) commented on Washington’s friendly relations with Gilbert, and even Lafayette’s son can perform the role of none of his son.
Lafayette’s commitment to the general and American cause was the same and the same. Ben Franklin, although the French-American Union deserves falsified loans, said that the King’s French Navy and Army Troops (Americans in the York) are one who convinced Maclay’s American warfare. The war would not be earned without the help.
In 1783, after the peace of Paris, Lafayette returned to America in 1784 for a short visit between August and December. He had a good time on Mount Vernon, and according to Maclay, he joined George Washington to promote the creation of a single government for the Siles. At the same time, he toured some states he met with many celebrations, including the honorary citizenship of Maryland province. These differences extend to dozens of cities and districts bearing the name of Lafayette.
The effect of AFL and Lafayette
In the second part of the program, AFL Executive Shuck Schwam was shown in the influence of Lafayette’s 1824-1825 rounds and a broad picture of the application today.
“Lafayette was the first rock star of America,” he said. In 1824, Lafayette in New York, Lafayette in New York, and in the present, the first American tour showed a schedule on the greeting to greet the Beatles in the first American tour. In 1964, when the Beatles met with more than 14,000 to 14,000, Lafayette was greeted with 90,000! Given that the population of New York is also growing significantly, this is a very tribute.
Schwam then gave the highlights of the Lafayette tour and the next honor of what was happening in the United States. In 1834, President Andrew Jackson, on the death of Lafayette, was presented as the same servicemen in Washington: Black bunting for 30 days, flags for 35 days, etc. Former President John Quartyn Adams gave 3 hours eulogy.
Although it is not widely known, the difference continues so far. Every 4th Gilbert Lafayette (node names) in a ceremony, which gathered in the French and American military forces in Paris in Paris. In this cemetery, many of the French terror found in the mass gravity contain the remains of Lafayette’s wife and relatives, along with the bones of victims.
Surprisingly surprisingly, there are only two portraits whose the walls of the Chamber of Representatives are gracious: General George Washington and General Gilbert Lafayette.
