How to possess multiple electronic readers changed my life to read-modern Mrs. Darcy

Bookish Joy comes from many sources. Some readers are looking for, they used bookstores for different editions of their loved ones of all time. Others like to have personalized books by authors who have met personally. Recently, I have found an unexpected readership of the possession of multiple electronic readers and the detection of the benefits of having more than one way to read books electronically.

You may be asking yourself, “Why would anyone own more than one reader? I thought exactly the same. Now that I had only one electronic feature reader for about 15 years and expanded my collection last summer, I would like to buy many earlier.

Having the opportunity to afford multiple electronic readers is a privilege; I currently own a corner, two types of Kindle and Boox. They are not cheap and are definitely not a need to read. Some readers only prefer printed books and it’s A-OK! Using a digital reading device is not for everyone. I enjoy the experience of electronic ink, but I completely understand the preferring pages in front of the pixels. (I’m just Tad Increase those of you who can use your phone or tablet to read. The world is really your oyster to read! The attempt to read my phone gives me a headache and I am distracted by notifications, calls and texts.) With so many options for choosing reading formats there, I am extremely grateful that I have the means to own several different electronic readers both for my personal reading and to work in Team MMD. I don’t take it for granted.

For years I was completely pleased with my first e -reader, a Barnes & Noble NookS I adored the buttons to turn the page and I was so impressed with the amount of storage. Being able to read in a new format was exciting and a place made the experience easier. I had caught the error of the e -reader.

About five years later, just before our first child was born, my place was brilliant. Amazon had introduced their built -in light so I was treated by upgrading to a Kindle PaperwhiteS He really came to the clutch for all those late night meals. Thanks to this purchase, reading an e -reader has gone from a small sporadic event to a daily habit for me. I actually have a physical copy of The girl who kicked the nest of the hornets by Stig Larson but decided to wait months Instead, for library electronic copies, because I liked to read so many ebooks. (Plus, it was much easier than this hard cover of 566 pages!)

Quickly forward to a fateful day last June. I felt disappointed that my paper white would not fit in my Crossbody bag. I also continued to forget it at home when I wanted to bring it with me to orders and meetings. Fortunately, almost cartoon -style animated bulb came out of my head when I realized I wouldn’t have this problem if I had two readers. Prime day was approaching quickly so I did some research via bookstagram and made plans to buy their smaller e-reader just called KindleS I was strongly considered a Kobo At that time, as I know the readers who adore my own and I liked the idea that I could buy e -books in support of smaller businesses. However, a few years ago, my library system unfortunately stopped using Libby/Overdrive in favor of Cloudlibrary. This has made it impossible to borrow titles to read to readers of Amazon E-INC and be transferred to Kobo as they will have to be loaded with a computer connection. Knowing that neither the e -reader will easily work seamlessly with Cloudlibrary, as in Libby, I eventually chose the Amazon product, as I already had a collection of ebooks formatted by Kindle. Using Amazon’s trade discount in addition to the annual sale, I received my new Kindle bag for the price of two hardcover books.

We often discuss The genius moves to read life in MMD Book Club And the presence of two electronic readers was a total change of game for me. The many book benefits became quickly obvious. The smaller size fits into small bags and even my pocket. I can read easily in more situations as I carry it with me at any time. This is a less item that you don’t forget to take when I leave the house. I immediately noticed an increase in my time spent reading. I caught fragments of time all day while I was out and outside instead of downloading on Instagram on my phone. Now I always have an electronic reader on my nightstand and my bag option when I’m on the move. Thanks to the devices synchronized to my last reading page, perfect when connected to Wi-Fi, I never miss a word.

As an additional bonus, I do not bother to get my smaller reader from the house the way I would be a more expensive device. Knowing that it will cost less to replace than my bigger alleviates my mind. Let’s say you have an almost cult classic electronic reader with buttons to convert pages that you adore and happens to be terminated. We are looking at you, Kindle OasisS Then you can easily rest that your precious (Please read in a Lotr Gollum voice) is safe at home when you have a smaller spare.

About three months ago, I introduced another device into my e -reader composition. (Spoiler signal: This is my current number one choice.) Once I saw This glowing review from Wirecutter And learned that bookshop.org would offer ebooks, I ordered my own Boox Palma 2S This charming E-INC device is running on Android and arrives with a Google Play store installed. The way I quickly downloaded all my reading apps and a library upon arrival may have broken a world record. Now again I have access to library electronic resources and I can finally choose to maintain independent book stores when buying ebooks. Husa!

However, Boox Palma 2 has some aspects that fellow readers can find for red flags. The setting and training curve can take a long time, the price is high and I often face problems with “ghosting” (prolonged images from the previous page). Bookstagram and YouTube videos I was really useful in learning the many cool features, gift cards present offsetting some of my costs and ghosts can be quickly removed from pressing a button. The best part is that these above-mentioned aspects are completely forgotten when I read e-books from my library or local indie, which I cannot access with Kindle. And did I mention how small and light it is? Size and weight make it so easy to hold on to my from time to time pain joints on the fingers. Page conversion buttons are another great feature and, like many other aspects of the device, completely adaptive to my preferences. Palma may not be the perfect electronic reader, but it is quite perfect for me and frankly I like to visit when I read around the house.

I am almost sure that the perfect e -reading device does not exist. (Please tell me, if you find it or invent one!) Some readers want the opportunity to write to their electronic reader, others prefer a color display for electronic fat and much like larger screens best. Here we are talking about a true Goldilocks script. Meanwhile, the presence of multiple electronic readers is a great option with significant advantages in my reading life. Keep in mind that this approach is by no means necessary to have stable reading options or suitable for all. After all, the best reader for you will be the one who will make you want to take it often and immerse yourself in the pages of a good book.

What are your preferred e -reader (s)? How do you feel to read electronically? Please share in the comments.
