The battle for ultra phones is turned on this year, with any company aiming to launch a phone that can compete with the ability of the Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra camera.
The latest Samsung Behemoth camera contains four cameras: a 200MP leading sensor paired with a 50MP ultrawide and two telofoto lenses. One camera has a 10MP sensor that offers 3x optical enlargement, while the other has a complete 50MP sensor with 5x optical enlargement.
Since starting in January, I have taken thousands of photos with the Galaxy S25 ultra from several countries around the world. While phones like OPPOs find X8 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 ultra beat it in certain environments, the Galaxy S25 ultra can still take extraordinary photos.
Here are some of the best photos I have taken and why.
The best phone for variety in portrait mode

I have long been a leading fan of Samsung’s portrait for many reasons, but the largest is the options included in the portrait mode camera. Samsung is not the only company that offers a range of different ways of portraits, but any Samsung telephone camera includes my favorite portrait feature: color dot.
Color Point is created to capture pictures of the artistic and unique portrait mode. It works by sharing the first plan and background, allowing you to keep the first in color while making the background background. The result can really be striking photo; I have used these for many years for my social avatars.

Beyond Color Point, Samsung’s portrait mode also has other fun features. A standard way of blurring blurs the background, and three ways simulate different lighting conditions: studio, high -key mono and low key mono. There is also a background way that allows you to create a full background color behind the topic in the picture.

Two particularly obvious features are that you can edit both its effect and its strength before and after making a picture, and that all the same features work with the front camera. In terms of dexterity, no phone offers the width of the portrait modality features that the Galaxy S25 ultra makes.
High quality and rich colors for many photos

After processing the photos captured on a Samsung phone usually yields similar results, making a known image immediately. The Galaxy S25 ultra is no different, and while Samsung has toned some of the saturation for more natural photos, the camera still gets high quality images that are rich in color.

In particular, it is a fantastic phone for vivid ultra -wide high saturation photos. Some phones, like Pixel 9 Pro, prioritize natural colors at the expense of satiety, so you may want to apply filters before loading on social media.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra gets great, ready -made Instagram photos that require a little editing. Many users will find these more visual visual photos than competition, although they are not as accurate or natural. Attractive visual photos are always better taken on social media, which is how most people share their lives with the world.
What about telephone cameras?

The main reason to buy the Ultra Galaxy S25 is the double Telofoto cameras. Samsung has refined its access to phone cameras for several years, and the Galaxy S25 ultra can capture fantastic pictures in many different focal lengths.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is not the world beater that was once, especially as phones like Find X8 Ultra and OnePlus 13 have shown that they have better magnification performance, but you can still take extraordinary photos.

In Viewfinder, you will find several options that represent different focal lengths. Option 2x Zoom is a 200MP main sensor culture, while 3x and 5x use their dedicated Telofoto lenses. Then there are 10x and above zoom options, which combine it and details from different sensors to a hybrid magnification.

However, it is worth noting that while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is excellent at the lowest focal lengths, the magnification of Samsung’s space has not resisted the test of time. In previous years, the space enlargement feature was strong and exceeded competition, but now Samsung’s rivals have captured and exceeded the Galaxy S25 ultra.
Get OnePlus 13, for example. It has only one telofoto lens, but is more capable at 30x and its maximum magnification 120x than the Galaxy S25 ultra.

Or OPPO find X8 Ultra, which has two telofoto lenses. The same lesson is here, especially because OPPO also find X8, which has only one call like OnePlus 13, takes better 30x photos than the power of the Samsung flag camera.
However, although competition is better in certain ways, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has still has an excellent magnification camera that will satisfy most users.
Ultra Galaxy S25 camera is versatile but wrong

For many years, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was largely the golden standard for the photo, at least if you deduct the phones made by Huawei.
Although his camera king is now facing fierce competition, he remains one of the most comprehensive cameras in the market. The only problem is that it is disappearing from being indestructible and camera you should always keep, be a good camera with better alternatives.

Once you have received 4,000 photos with the Galaxy S25 ultra, there are some main takeings. Her camera is fantastic, and the portrait way is the best of every phone. As I discovered in Dubai, it can get durable videos with excellent magnification features. Although not the highest quality, the selfie camera has the most comprehensive camera options.
For all that you do well, it’s no longer the best zoom camera. Still still one of the best smartphone cameras, and is probably even more versatile. However, if magnification performance is your main advantage, the camera can be disappointing, especially if you have used other smartphone cameras.
Only for portrait photography, the Galaxy S25 ultra will stay in my phone stability. While it was once the phone where I was always addressed, it is now one of the collection that includes many of the best smartphones.
