Internet security willingness stands low while attacks of it grow

Only four percent of organizations worldwide have reached the ‘mature’ level of readiness needed to effectively withstand today’s internet security threats, even as hyperconctivity and presenting new complexes to security doctors.

The latest online security readiness index from Cisco shows 86 percent of organizations faced security incidents linked to it last year. However, only 49 percent of respondents are sure that their employees fully understand the threats related to him, and 48 percent believe their teams fully understand how malicious actors are using it to execute sophisticated attacks.

The lack of readiness of online security at a global level means 71 percent of respondents predict business interruptions from internet incidents within the next 12 to 24 months.

Lack of skills is also an ongoing issue, 86 percent of respondents identify the lack of skilled internet security professionals as a major challenge, with more than half of reporting more than ten positions to fill.
