Catherine Ryan Hyde is one of my favorite authors and never disappointed. This one is moving and powerful. I loved topics to accept myself, healing from injury and the power of love and human relationship. Michael deals a lot; He has both physical and emotional features of an incident in his childhood. Hyde knows how to write emotional tales that get into the heart, but it is also wonderful in creating interesting characters who are on inspirational trips. Her characters are rarely regretted and always attract their inner strength. I also loved the side characters; Those who Michael meets along the way added different perspectives.
Hyde writing style is easy to read and always immersive; Both the plot and the characters always have a way to attract me to history. She constantly writes with compassion and is always inspiring. I am pleased to read about Michael and watch him grow throughout the story and face his challenges of living with his marks both inside and outside. While Hyde is sensitive to problems, she does not pull strokes and is always direct and is never sugars. And while some of Michael’s problems were difficult to read, Hyde managed to let me hope. Everyone has things that they deal with and signs of some kind. Moving and very provoking thought, this story is another testimony to Hyde’s skill. All. S Stars.
