Microsoft now has agents of one who can change Windows 11 settings – Should we be satisfied or terrified?

Artificial intelligence is now everything, but inevitable, and Microsoft is taking advantage of every opportunity to make more features in Windows 11. Copilot+ PC are a large part of the company’s vision and have now been discovered young new agents.
Described as part of a “new generation of Windows experiences”, Microsoft has revealed new agents that use it on the equipment to interpret the natural language entry to help a user find and change the system settings. Seed can go wrong?

Microsoft says user feedback has made it realize that people want a simpler way to find and change the system settings. By presenting new UX and UI changes, the company is now taking what it sees as the next logical step – injecting a dose of it.
In a blog post, Microsoft says:
We have also heard that you want to have more help to find and directly change settings or solve your PC problems. What if you could simply describe the change you want, in your own words and get an on -site adjustment?
We tried to solve one of the most common disappointments we hear – finding and changing the settings in your PC – using the power of agents. An agent uses it on the device to understand your purpose and with your permission, automation and execution of tasks.
With this update of settings, you will be able to simply describe what you need help like, “How to check my PC aloud” or “my mouse indicator is too small” and the agent will recommend the right steps you can take to address the issue.
This seems useful, but there are more. Microsoft continues to add that “with your permission and at your initiation, may even complete actions to change your settings in your name”.
You can see what this looks like in a video shared by Microsoft:
Of course there are benefits for this, but also many possible issues. While it is best to see that he is being used in the device to help maintain intimacy, there is a risk that a user will accidentally make a change that they cannot work as undoing. Moreover, it is difficult to see how to have a new way to interact, change and implement settings is not a potential attack vector that is simply expecting to be used.
But the audience for this feature will be limited. For now, it’s something that is going through the interiors of Windows, but will also be limited to the Copilot+ PC – which will keep the numbers of low users for some time. Microsoft says:
This experience will first become available for Windows interiors in the PC of the Copilot+ PC of Snapdragon and will soon come to Windows Insider on AMD and Intel devices. Only English language inputs will first be supported.
Are you ready for agents and the one who check the windows?
