Orb was built by several well -known names. The Doug Suttles and Jamie Stevens, who helped create Speedtest and Downeector, are leading the project, along with a group of former Ookla and Fastly veterans. It is safe to say that they know one or two things about internet performance.

Instead of giving you only one basic discharge speed, Orb measures three main things: responsibility, reliability and speed. These tests work smooth in the background, without slowing your device or eating the width of your band. Later this year, the team plans to draw something called “Recipe”, which will allow you to measure specific services performance like YouTube and Microsoft teams. This is a big deal for anyone who has ever been asked why a magnification call even when a speed test says their internet is fast.
