The best 5 history reads 2024 – Voyager of History
As an avid reader, in 2021 I decided to last for a while to read the top 5 of the year. Because they are quite popular and approaching Christmas, I thought that it can also give some gift ideas or date lovers to ask for Christmas. It’s a mixture of different periods, I hope there is something there for everyone.
Captive queen of Scots by Jean Plaidy
The Queen of Mary, has always been a little amazed for me. I have read many history books over it, but never historic novel. Now this is a pretty old school. First, it was first published in the 1960s, but I was published in 1970 from the copy I read, but I must admit that I really enjoyed. More when I choose one for £ 1 in a local charity store!
In the past, I spoke of several family members about how many Jean Plaiy read and enjoy their writing. I didn’t read any of them until this book. This one was well adapted with one of the talks I suggested in the Babington plot that helped the scots queen of Scots. It took me a bit to enter the way, but once I did it, it’s really hard to put it on the ground.

Mistletoe for happiness: A romance by Sally Briton
On Christmas, it is suitable for sharing this Christmas Theme Regency, which inspires the short story of this Christmas themed Regency. Think of one of these cheesy and romantic Christmas movies (you know your type), but are built during Regency and you get this book. In fact, this was a Christmas witch in this last year, I was able to do it for my sister, and he loved it, and I could read it in January. I saw that I read this very sweet and I really enjoyed my sister. I recommend it to Jane Austen or Regency fan. You can also read the opinion I did here early this year.

Endell Street: Women who fled to the British trailblazing hospital by Wendy Moore
This book for me is the best of this year. This is the story of a women’s war hospital, which is officially sanctioned during the First World War, known as the Endell Street Hospital. Soldiers were also known as Sufragette Hospital as managed by two well-known doctors in Sufragette. The first World War I in the twentieth century chose a world war, health and sex information on health and sex. If you are interested in any of these topics, I would recommend it. You can read more in this regard.

Girls chased by Holly Kyte
This book, despite the high mistake rules expected to survive some women between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, sweeps out that they can achieve after the show. Today, we probably described these women as a proto-feminist, although it was not a period known during his life. Aims to be a quick application to the achievements of life and women, so choose this book if you want to learn more about some emergencies.

A smuggling life by Helen Hollick
Undoubtedly, we know everything to know about smugglers from the past. Perhaps, but this book is trying to show fantasy and fantastics covering the romance of smuggling using knowers about real life smugglers and smuggling teams. Perhaps the most surprising that women are almost absolutely smugglers, there are very few examples of non-excise men not checking women for stolen goods. If you like to learn such facts or love stories about the rogues or maybe show interest to learn more. I would recommend it, but I would say that this is a bigger application of a beginner than anything more.
