After an unsuccessful attack, a group of rebels must regroup while dealing with a traitor in their middle, while a former hunter of damaged struggles with becoming one of them and the mission given to him in the “Road of the Stones” by Lantz.
Synopsis

In a changing world, old loyalties may not survive.
The attack on Abalrin failed. The Fesippi rebel group regrouped in the forest, but they miss some of their key people. It is difficult to move forward and even more difficult to come up with a new plan, especially now that the order has its views of revenge.
Levas just wants things back the way they were before the damaged abbalrin attacked, while at the same time damaging the confidence of his city and the order. He was Lord the army commander, but now he is in escape, desperate to return home.
Rael is still confronted with having the ability, something that could arrest him or kill him. He knows how this works – he hunted corrupted before he became one of them. So when the most powerful person in Abalrin gives him a mission, he knows that he has to pay attention … even if it means to convey others like him.
The fight for survival always leaves victims behind.
Review
As with the first book in the series, this novel did an incredible job of the world construction, not only with world readers were introduced into the first book, but also with the new faces and places that readers met in this novel. The slow, methodical pace allowed the author to attract the reader to this story and the rich dynamics between the political nature behind the separation of this kingdom, the power moves those who make the power, and the fantasy mitos that the world covers with all the heart, made this story splendor.
The highlights of this novel came to the development of the characters that happened through this story. Readers receive many perspectives in this book by characters such as Rael and his allies as they fight after such a brutal battle. He remains conflict with his new reality and the struggles of Fessipi as a result of such a monumental loss, the author did a masterful work on restoring readers with the characters in this series. Still, it also served to introduce new perspectives and engaging with new readers, such as the introduction of Jahyim’s history and how its perspective introduced the topic of loss, hidden secrets and how war affects the crossed hair.
Verdict
Remembering, cordial and funny, the “Road of the Stones” of the author of Ryan Lantz is a great way to deepen in the Red Kingdom series and must read fantasy history. The twist that comes and the rich Mitos, on which a unique fantasy world is built, will inform readers excited and impatient about the next entry into the series. If you are not yet, be sure to take your copy today.
