Wordmith he bags $ 25 million + CEO interview – artificial lawyer

Wordmith he has raised $ 25 million in Serie A funds led by the Ventures Index. New money will be used to support his intention to ‘entrenched his agents’ fleets in corporations and training teams to direct them’. See the interview with CEO, Ross McNairn, below. Their offer, however, is not just for lawyers, but it is also there to ‘support sales, procurement and HR’, they said.
The Scotland -based business, which already has clients in the form of Trustpilot, Remote.com and Deliveroo, is very focused on corporations. The company added that it is registering strong income growth throughout the UK and SH.BA, and is set to open offices in both London and New York later this year. They will also start an ‘Enabelement Legal Wordsmith Academy’ to help train its customers.
At the top of his agents’ offer, Wordsmith previously told Al in January this year that he provided:
- ‘Advanced Tools of Reporting: Analyze thousands of contracts in minutes to detect compliance gaps, contract risks and other critical overviews. Bespoke reports can be adapted to meet the specific business needs.
- Opportunities and training: Wordsmith he offers unique training programs to help lawyers integrate in their workflow, minimizing mistakes and maximizing efficiency.
- Flexible Support: Businesses can operate independently or cooperate with the Wordsmith Bar Association for personalized verification and reporting. ‘
And a little for training is essential for them. The company added: ‘Wordsmith invests significantly in the training and legal professionals in the rise, enabling them to exploit the full potential of its platform. This marks a wider generative shift in the legal labor market, as professionals adapt to promote it and get more strategic, high -impact roles. ‘
Plus, it is worth undering the third point of the bullets above, which indicates that they are not only in the ‘firefighter and software blame’ business, but want to put their team time in deeply engagement with clients. Of course, then creates a new challenge: most software companies want to escalate quickly by selling software, not having to focus on counseling services. But, as many legal technology companies find it, it can sometimes be impossible to sell software only – engaging with customers to help them get the most of the tools is often essential. And in this case they are providing ‘verification’ services as well, ie quality assurance in the results.
Commenting on their ongoing investment in Wordsmith, Hannah sealPartner, Index Ventures, said: ‘This is about reshaping enterprise operations, not just supporting legal teams. We are excited to support Ross and the Wordsmith team as they set a new category at the intersection of law, technology and that. ‘
Plus, here is a short video for lifting.

And now In -depth with CEO ROSS MCNAIRN (photo above)who previously helped scaling the three unicorns of technology, such as the chief of product and technology in Travelperk, the Product VP in Letgo, and the Head of Products in Skyscanner.
First, congratulations. Does what does this investment mean to you personally?
Thank you! This investment is especially significant to me because it unites my origin in both the law and in the software engineering. After 12 years away from the legal profession, the return to help direct this transformation to feel deeply personal. I am passionate about our mission to train a generation of legal engineers who have passed this trip themselves.
It is useful to unite both sides of my career into this mission and have collected such an extraordinary mix of lawyers and engineers to join me on this trip.
The focus here seems to be on agents? Why?
Our focus on agents is an evolution from simply increasing the individual productivity of the lawyer to enable wider cooperation, supervised in all organizations. With improved reliability and transparency in him, lawyers can now share and escalate these tools within their teams, making the course of legal work more efficient and influential than ever before.
Are you seeing true differences between inhouse lawyers now when it comes to adopting it?
Absolutely. We are witnesses of a significant change, with new roles that appear in legal teams dedicated to the use and placement of it. Once the approval is obtained, we see wonderful orchestration – the legal teams are able to review the contracts immediately, to respond to negotiations, to treat security questionnaires and to support sales with dispensation, all at unprecedented speeds. This skill on request is accelerating business operations across the board.
How do you see the general market now for the legal one? How is it changing and how will the words of the words engrave?
The legal market of it is evolving rapidly. While many providers aim to serve everyone or focus on legal firms, Wordsmith is uniquely positioned to enable legal teams inside the home and more critically the business they are empowering. Our approach is about accelerating the whole business, not just the legal function, and it is sounding strongly with our clients.
When a GC begins to be appreciated by their peers at C-SUITE for their legal impact on the agreements, procurement backward, the time to offer at HR, they begin to become very happy.
How many staff are you now and what are the growth plans?
We are currently a team of 35 years old and expect to grow between 80 and 90 by the end of the year. Our plans include the opening of some new offices across Europe and the US to support our customer expansion basis.
Thanks Ross and Congrats for Lifting.
