The heart of the high school student Jasons is not the only thing that is broken, as is her spirit and her body. She was in a car crash with her boyfriend and his identical twin brother, who left her wounded, the brother was wounded, and her boyfriend is dead. Now her family and friends want her to return to what she was. As she cultivates grief and reconcile with her new reality, she also reconciles with the fact that she is no longer the same person and everything she once knew is never what she actually looks like. Hunter is the only one to understand. She knew him once as a brother brother, but she realizes that this is not he really, and they are constantly gathering.

Aunt, this book crashed me. As I finished reading and saw that there was another one for these two, I automatically realized that I wanted to read the next one. I know these characters are in high school. Sometimes they behave like this, and sometimes they don’t. It is easy to ignore that if it bothers you. But the amount of grief these two endures, the amount of longing that these two feel, the amount of learning they pass through is just a breathtaking and magical and heartbreaking and beautiful at once.

I really loved who became Jame; She became a real person, realized who was outside the 4th walls of high school and was the GF of a football player and a cheerleader. She realized that it didn’t mean much. There were so many times between these two that my heart jumped. There were almost times for the two that my heart broke.

This book broke me and returned me again. It’s been a lot of time since I read one and it was time. I can’t wait to read the next one. Hunter and Jame will forever be embedded in my heart and in my head.
