This week, the most read books for Goodreads look quite similar last week, but we have a new title included – and immediately shoots at place # 1. Can you know what it is? That’s right, this is the greatest Emily Henry: a great big beautiful life. Unlike Emily Henry’s previous bestsellers, this one bends more to common fiction than romance.

To add a little variety to this list, I included the first five most read books in countries around the world. Today, we look at the goodreads of Goodreads in Brazil, India and Ireland. There is an overlap with the world elections, but there are some unique titles, such as Cabeça do Santo (Saint’s leader) from Socoro Akioli in Brazil and the Maeve Kerrigan #12) by Jane Casey in Ireland.

But before we get into the most popular readings of the moment, let’s talk about a few new books this week that you need to know about.

Two new books this week you need to know about

Unfortunately, the most read books of Goodreads tend not to be diverse in any definition of the word. So, here are some new books this week that deserve a broader readership.

Cover of an old school Indian by Aaron John Curtis

Indian Old School by Aaron John Curtis

So far you have seen many novels about age, are you sure, but have you ever seen a middle era coming? In the debut of Curtis, Abe Jacobs is a 43-year-old man from Ahvene, who returned to his reservation, where he grew up after more than 20 years. The reason for his return? The doctors told him that he was dying, and he decided about the way treatment had never thought he would: healing into the hands of his unsaid, restored alcoholic uncle. He is now skeptical to be healed, but in his study there is a seed of hope. Through the witty lines and the reflections of the poet of Abe Alter Ego, Dominic Deer Woods, we see him encounter all those things that keep him away from his home all this time. -Erica ezeifedi

Kiss me, maybe Gabriela Gamez

When The next best fling I came out last year I realized I would have a new favorite author, but it was sealed when I saw the cover for Kiss me, maybeS Not only for the cover (though I want to say, look at it!), But also because of the indication of who will be the next protagonist and I was excited to read her love story. The Angela Angela Librarian has never been kissed. When she publishes something she declares so on social media, she accidentally becomes a viral, leading to a cleaner hunting where the winner receives her first kiss. And who is there to help her? The Crystal bartender, whom Angela fell in love with for a long time. But it is out of bounds and is uninterested in love. Right? “Jessica Pride
