Meet Joan:

When he does not write, Joan McGregor is a consulting psychologist in private practice, where he works mainly with victims of crime and trauma.

Although she lives in the frenetic adrenaline of the big city, Joanna has always been in love with nature and fled to the wild when she can. She is a Harry Potter fanatic, bakes the best chip cookies on the planet and is addicted to Chilies and Bulletproof coffee.

Why did you start writing?

My kids went into adolescence and I could only find very few books that are appropriate and interesting for them to read – and most of them were fantasy and the main characters from the male presenters. Following the Edict, in order to be the change I wanted in the world, I started writing books about young adults with realistic stories presenting smart, heroines of Kickass!
